Vancouver Quadra isn't a political riding to me.
It is my home, the home of my ancestors and my Musqueam community.
It is where I was taught to be proud of my indigenous heritage, but just as important my experiences growing up in the local schools taught me to be a proud Canadian.
It is where I fell in love with the city of Vancouver and began my career building bridges between communities.
It is where I raise my children.
It is my home.
I have known Wade since I was his teacher at Southlands Elementary and I always knew he was destined to be a leader. He was raised to look out for the needs of the community and walk with humility and respect for others. As his teacher and now peer and friend I am so proud to see the leader he has become. I know he will put the needs of the people of Vancouver Quadra first as their Liberal nominee and MP.
It is with great enthusiasm that I endorse Wade Grant in the upcoming nomination to become Vancouver-Quadra’s candidate. Wade's extraordinary talent for building bridges and fostering understanding among diverse groups is nothing short of exceptional. It is rare to have someone who has earned such a high level of respect and trust among so many different communities—Wade brings a unique blend of diplomatic skills and a genuine passion for our collective well-being.
Wade is exactly the kind of person we should have running for public office. He is young, energetic and well -informed. As a proud member of the Musqueam Nation where he works on intergovernmental affairs, Wade has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. As someone who has grown up here, attended public school here and graduated from UBC, Wade has always impressed me as approachable, sensible and someone who can put the interests of our community and its neighbourhoods at the forefront of his work.
